The GRE

The computer based GRE revised General Test allows you to easily apply some brilliant strategies. By categorizing questions by difficulty and length and working on the quickest questions first, it's generally possible to gain 3 points on each section without any additional knowledge or study.

Combined with an effective study program on average my students to improve almost a full standard deviation over the course of my program (8 points on verbal and 8 points on quantitative)

Effective study programs vary in size and scope, and always depend on your accountabilities outside of test preparation. A full time job and a young child is a very different set of circumstances than being freshly out of college and taking the summer off. Whatever your life looks like, I work with you to create a program that effectively integrates studying into your schedule, allowing you to practice without fail and rapidly realize dramatic gains.

Optimization is key. Small efforts like applying my memorization strategies to vocabulary (only the most common, based on frequency analysis of past tests) takes only minutes a day, but delivers handsomely for the effort.

"I was struggling with my GRE and the test date kept getting closer and closer. I thought that only 4 months wouldn't be enough since I had so little time to study between my job, night classes, and taking care of my grandma. Christian showed me how to balance my commitments and create a workable schedule for my studies, which had the added bonus of giving me more time to spend with my family. My scores went up consistently, and I went from a 153 to a 169. I'm no longer dreading my applications!" - Karin S.
